Activities

Safety
Activities are supervised by experienced and qualified instructors who conform to UK National Governing Bodies Regulations. Brenscombe also has its own in-house training policy and assessment procedure as there is a need to tailor safety standards to local operational environments. Equipment and facilities are regularly checked and conform to European safety standards. Lists of staff, qualifications safety procedures and risk assessments are available upon request.

Insurance
The Centre has £5million public liability cover. Brenscombe does recommend that clients take out additional travel insurance covering adventure activities for personal injury and loss of baggage. Adventure Activities License (number L6471/R0269)
Brenscombe is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service for activities within their scope. AALS can be contacted on 029 2075 5757 or www.aals.org.uk for more information.

Outdoor Activity Sessions & Fees
Activities can be chosen from the selection below and put into your programme to form a bespoke residential course or activity day:

Abseiling Tower £6.85 ex VAT  £8.05 inc VAT	75 minute session on our 6m abseil tower on site at Brenscombe. Great for learning the basic techniques before trying something more daring.
Air Rifle Shooting £7.20 ex VAT £8.46 inc VAT	75 minute session at Brenscombe, shooting air rifles at a range of targets using a variety of techniques before taking part in a competition.
Archery £7.20 ex VAT £8.46 inc VAT	75 minute session at Brenscombe. Learn the basic skills before competing in the Robin Hood Challenge or balloon popping experiments.
Campcraft £13.80 ex VAT £16.22 inc VAT	3 hour session that will coach you in 3 bushcraft skills such as fire lighting, shelter building, plant life, trapping, knife skills, rescues and signals.
Canoeing £17.60 ex VAT £20.68 inc VAT	2.5 hour session in Poole Harbour or on the River Frome. Paddle around the harbour islands or receive coaching for various awards.
Dragon Boating £16.40 ex VAT £19.27 inc VAT	90 minute session with two dragon boats racing each other in Poole Harbour. Learn sprint start and drumming techniques before racing.
High Ropes 3 hrs £29.38 - inc VAT -Youth £37.60 inc. VAT - Adult	3 hour session at the huge Burnbake Ropes Course. Tackle various high challenges in your teams, up to 20m high among attractive woodlands.
High Ropes 6 hrs £47.00 inc VAT-Youth £62.28 inc VAT - Adult	6 hour session at the huge Burnbake Ropes Course. Tackle various high challenges in your teams, up to 20m high among attractive woodlands.
Low Ropes £17.60 ex VAT £20.68 inc VAT	2 hour session at the huge Burnbake Low Ropes Course, including team challenges and low assault course.
Initiative Tasks £8.80 ex VAT £10.34 inc VAT	2 hour session for groups testing and developing their initiative on a series of problem solving challenges around the Centre.
Kayaking £17.60 ex VAT £20.68 inc VAT	2.5 hour session in Poole Harbour or on the River Frome. Paddle around the harbour islands or receive coaching for various awards.
Laser Clay Shoot POA min group 10	1 hour session at Brenscombe. Using shotguns that fire light beams on the flying targets. Scores from a variety of stances are electronically recorded.
Mountain Biking £21.00 ex VAT £24.68 inc VAT	3 hour session on forest tracks and trails. Sessions can be guided or a route set up for orienteering in a beautiful and flat (ish) area.
Night Exercise £8.30 ex VAT £9.75 inc VAT	2 hour session that takes place in the evenings among the countryside, hills and woods around the Centre.
Nordic Walking £20.00 ex VAT £23.50 inc VAT	2 hour session in the Wareham Woods or Purbeck Hills. Learn basic skills, receive coaching to develop techniques and tips on how to improve fitness levels.
Orienteering £9.60 ex VAT £11.28 inc VAT	3 hour session of orienteering has small groups competing in the local woods and hills. Map reading skills are taught before hand.
Powerboat 3 hrs POA	3 hour session around Poole Harbour and Swanage / Studland Bay coastlines for fast blasts to coastal orienteering.
Powerboat 6 hrs POA	6 hour session from Poole Harbour or local area to Lulworth Cove / The Solent, Isle of Wight for fast blasts, cruising or pub / picnic trips.
Pioneering £14.20 ex VAT £16.69 inc VAT	2 hour session of building various structures from ropes and wooden poles. Learn various knots and lashing techniques whilst working as a team.
Raft Building £14.20 ex VAT £16.69 inc VAT	2 hour session on the River Frome or Poole Harbour. Teams learn rope skills and then build their rafts before taking to the water.
Rock Climbing £20.75 ex VAT £24.38 inc VAT	2.5 hour session at Dancing Ledge, our stunning coastal climbing and abseiling area on the Jurassic Coastline near Swanage.
Team Tasks £11.85 ex VAT £13.92 inc VAT	75 minute sessions at Brenscombe. Used for teams wanting to develop teamwork skills and leadership skills.
Wake Boarding POA	3 hour session using our power boat in Poole Harbour water-ski area or Studland Bay. Please note limited actual boarding time / person if a full group attends.
Water Skiing POA	3 hour session using our power boat in Poole Harbour water-ski area or Studland Bay. Please note limited  actual skiing time / person if a full group attends.
Walking £8.05 ex VAT £9.46 inc VAT	3 hour session involving walks in the woods, the hills or coastline. Enjoy the countryside as well as learn navigation skills.
Windsurfing £18.30 ex VAT £21.50 inc VAT	2.5 hour sessions in Poole Harbour. Coaching available for novices using land drill techniques before taking to the water.

Half Day Package £15.50 ex VAT £18.21 inc VAT	3 hour session at Brenscombe. You can choose 3 activities from: climbing or abseil tower, archery, air rifles, low challenge, initiative tasks, pioneering, camp craft.

Birthday Parties
Brenscombe regularly host birthday parties for children and for adult groups at the Centre. For children's parties, the half day package is very popular combined with use of the lounge for a party with your own birthday cakes.

Stag & Hen Parties
Brenscombe provides activity programmes for both Stag and Hen parties and accommodation for Hen Parties only. We provide experienced staff who are excellent at providing safe instruction as well as an entertaining atmosphere during the day.
