Brenscombe has 2 RIBs based in Poole Harbour, one of the largest and most beautiful natural harbours in the world. We have various pick up points including Ridge Wharf Yacht marina on the river Frome, Dolphin Haven marina, Poole Quay, all within easy reach of the Solent, Heritage coastline and beyond.
Each RIB is available for skippered charter only, all equipment to MCA standard, lifejackets and waterproofs are included. If you would like to charter one or both RIBs for your own specific requirements they are available for a half or full day. Some specific charters may include treasure hunts in and around Poole Harbour, Poole, Studland and Swanage bays.
Water-skiing and Wakeboarding
Brenscombe uses water-ski zone within
Poole Harbour or Studland Bay. Both are ideal due to their sheltered
location. You can try water-skiing or wakeboarding with top tips
from the skipper to get you looking good, fast! All equipment
including skis, wakeboard, wetsuits and buoyancy aids are included
in the price for this three hour session.
Local fast blasts and Jurassic Coast tours
Departing from Ridge Wharf Marina you
can travel through Poole Harbour, past Shell Bay towards Studland
then on to Swanage Bay. Everyone has the chance to take the helm.
You can stop for great photo opportunities and moor alongside Swanage quay in order to
grab some refreshments before the return trip to Ridge with the
chance to stop at Poole Quay, depending on the time!
Alternatively, Brenscombe can run a trip along Old Harry Rocks (65
million years old), past Durlston Castle (the gateway to the Heritage
Coastline). Then past the limestone cliffs, viewing the climbers at
Guillemot Ledge, the quarries of Dancing Ledge and Winspit before
going on to St Aldhelm's Head and a chance to play in the choppy
waters. Then it’s back to Swanage Bay where we stop, have a brew or
something stronger, a stroll to the end of the pier before the
return trip to Poole Harbour.
These trips are not suitable for anyone with serious back, neck or knee injuries, due to the fast bumpy ride and impact landings after jumping waves. These boats are designed to cope with very adverse sea conditions, however for safety reasons and the enjoyment factor, trips may be postponed to a later date. Available from Mid April – October.
