Ropes Course

Brenscombe Outdoor Centre's High Ropes Course at Burnbake is one of the largest course in Europe. It offers groups a fun and challenging experience. All sessions provide participants with the opportunity to stretch their own perceived boundaries under the guidance of fully qualified and experienced instructors. Programmes from 3 hours to two days can also develop personal, social and team skills as well as being a lot of fun and very exciting.

Challenge By Choice
All participants will be set a variety of challenges throughout the session that range in height and complexity. Brenscombe believes that everyone must enjoy their experience as well as be challenged by it. To achieve this, individuals choose what challenges they wish to participate in. No pressure is placed upon individuals. Instructors are trained to ensure that you will not go beyond your physical and emotional boundaries.

Sample 1 Day Programme
0930 Meet at Ropes Course for safety briefing and equipment issue
0945 Low ropes team challenges, less than 1 metre high
1115 Tea break
1130 Introduction to high ropes, up to 6 metres high, learning to use the safety systems
1230 Lunch break
1330 High ropes, up to 20 metres high. Individual and team challenges
1630 Finish

All groups work with an instructor for the entire session. Group sizes vary from 6 to 10 people with each instructor, depending upon the nature of the session and the participants.

3 Hour Session Fees (for groups)
Children / Youth / Apprentices: £25 + vat / person
Adults: £32 + vat / person

6 Hour Session Fees (for groups)
Children / Youth / Apprentices: £40 + vat / person
Adults: £53 + vat / person
